We build it. We also run it.

Barohaus has operated Nannyjob in Korea since 2009. Instead of building something and walking away, we have maintained and improved our own service every day for years. We now put that experience to work on other organisations' websites and apps.

Consultation and quotes are free. We usually reply within one business day.

What we do

From a single landing page to a service that runs every day

Take just the part you need, or hand us the whole thing.

01

Website design and build

Company and institution sites, product pages, landing pages. Designed for mobile first, and set up so Korean users can actually find you on Naver as well as Google.

  • Mobile-first responsive
  • Naver and Google indexing
  • Contact form, maps, channels
02

Web services and platforms

Sign-up, payments, bookings, application forms, admin dashboards, data management. Not just a good-looking page, but a service that real money and real information move through.

  • Accounts, roles, admin panel
  • Payments (Toss Payments)
  • Automated email and alerts
03

Mobile apps

We wrap your web service as an app and publish it to the stores, handling the review paperwork and the listing process for you.

  • Google Play listing
  • App Store listing
  • Push notifications
04

Korean localisation

Turning an English site into one Korean users will actually use. Not a translation — a rebuild around how Koreans search, phrase things and expect official notices to read.

  • Korean copy written, not translated
  • KO / EN bilingual structure
  • Korean disclosure requirements
05

Hosting and maintenance

Launch is not the end. We keep updating notices, responding to outages and adding features on a monthly retainer.

  • Content updates on request
  • Outage and security response
  • Ongoing improvement proposals

Embassies · Foreign companies in Korea

With an English-only site, Korean visitors find nothing

The global site your headquarters built is likely excellent. It just barely reaches people in Korea. We have spent more than fifteen years serving both foreign residents in Korea and Korean households — we know exactly where the two sides stop understanding each other.

What actually happens

  • You do not appear on Naver

Search in Korea starts on Naver and Kakao, not Google. A site that has never been registered or optimised for them is effectively invisible here.

  • Korean visitors close an English page

Visa and consular information, job openings, cultural events — these are exactly what Korean visitors come for, and most leave without reading if it is only in English.

  • The head-office template does not fit Korea

Global templates are usually designed desktop-first. In Korea traffic is overwhelmingly mobile, and information spreads through KakaoTalk.

  • Machine translation costs you credibility

Awkward Korean undermines an institution's standing. Official notices here follow a particular tone and format that translation tools do not produce.

What we do about it

  • Keep the English site, add a separate Korean one

Your headquarters' site stays untouched. You can open a Korean-language channel without going through a global approval process.

  • Naver and Google registration

Naver Search Advisor registration, sitemaps and structured data, so you genuinely show up in Korean search results.

  • A notice screen your own staff can use

We include an admin screen so your team can post and edit notices, events and vacancies without a developer.

  • Contact channels Koreans expect

A Korean-language enquiry form, a KakaoTalk channel and Naver Map integration — the routes Korean visitors already use.

  • Korean disclosure requirements

We make sure the privacy notice and other locally required disclosures are present and correctly worded.

  • We work with you in English

Correspondence and documents can be handled in English. The Korean that appears on screen is our responsibility.

How we work

Five stages, start to finish

Each stage ends with your sign-off before the next one begins. Changing direction along the way is fine.

  1. 11–2 days

    Consultation

We listen to what you need and what is not working today. There is no charge for this.

  2. 23–5 days

    Quote and scope

We list every screen and feature to be built, then fix the price and the schedule.

  3. 31–2 weeks

    Design

You see the actual screen designs first. We revise them until you are happy.

  4. 42–6 weeks

    Build and review

We put work-in-progress on a real address as we go, so you can click through and check it yourself.

  5. 5Ongoing

    Launch and run

We connect the domain, complete search registration and go live. Maintenance continues on a monthly basis.

FAQ

Questions we are asked most

How long does it take?

A presentation-focused website is usually 3–4 weeks, or 6–8 weeks once an admin screen is included. Services with accounts and payments vary with scope, so we set the schedule together during the consultation.

Can we keep the existing English site and only add Korean?

Yes, and this is what most clients choose. We leave the head-office site untouched and build a separate Korean site linked to it. Because no global approval process is involved, you can start much faster.

We have to follow our headquarters' brand guidelines.

Send us the colour, logo and typography rules and we will follow them exactly. Where the guidelines leave room, we will also propose adjustments that work better for Korean visitors.

Can our own staff update the site afterwards?

We include an admin screen. Notices, events and job postings can be added and edited without any technical knowledge, and we walk your team through it at launch.

Can we work in English?

Yes. Correspondence and documents can be handled entirely in English, while we write the Korean copy that appears on the site.

How do contracts and invoicing work?

We contract as a registered Korean business (Barohaus, business registration 745-28-00806) and issue Korean tax invoices. If your procurement process needs particular documents, we will provide them.

What would you like to build?
